We are dedicated to developing sustainable catalysis systems to replace the old-fashioned reactions involved with energy-demanding or environmentally unfriendly processes (e.g. high temperature and pressure).
Our research programs focus on the development of new catalysts which can utilise sunlight or electricity (generated from renewable energy) to convert raw materials to fuels, fine chemicals and useful materials.
Interdisciplinary knowledge and methodology will be applied to investigate the detailed reaction mechanisms and guide us to further design better catalysts for fuel-forming reactions and organic synthesis.
